MEDITATION, BREATHING TECHNIQUES AND YOGA
Having meditated and practised yoga for many years, and having completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program in February 2017, I am delighted to now share the benefits of yoga with clients.
Meditation, breathing and physical yoga postures are great for relieving conditions as diverse as anxiety and insomnia, asthma and physical pain. We can use one or more of these branches of yoga to help you meet your goals.
Meditation and breathing practices are actually the oldest forms of yoga, dating back thousands of years. The physical postures of yoga were developed less than 500 years ago, with the express purpose of helping practitioners go deeper into meditation.
So - you don’t need to be slim or flexible to do yoga – if you can breathe, you can do yoga!
Yoga hand positions - Mudras - are easy to do and can be done almost anywhere. They are powerful wellness and healing tools that you can use on your own, as needed, without attending regular classes. Even little children can do mudras!
There are specific mudras to help heal specific health conditions – I can teach you these.
